Collection, use and disclosure of PI
The main types of PI that CoFactor generally collects from you are name, email address and other contact information (such as phone number).
Your PI may be used by us for the following purposes:
- to provide the services offered on the Site and in any other forum to you;
- to tailor our services to suit your needs;
- to send you marketing materials and other communications that you ask to receive from us or that relate to the services we provide; and
- for market and business analysis and research.
From time to time we may use your PI to inform you about CoFactor ‘s products or services or about special offers which CoFactor believes may be of interest or of benefit to you. We may do this via email, SMS, telephone or mail.
You agree and acknowledge that if you opt out of receiving marketing material, we will still send you essential information that we are required to send you relating to the products and services we provide.
Management of your PI
CoFactor will take all reasonable steps to ensure that the PI which it collects, uses or discloses is correct and is stored in a secure environment which is accessed only by authorised persons.
If we no longer need your PI, unless we are required under Australian law or a court or tribunal order to retain it, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or securely delete your PI.
Security of PI
We will use reasonable endeavours to keep your PI in a secure environment, however, this security cannot be guaranteed. If you believe that there has been unauthorised use or disclosure of your PI, please contact us (see below).
Accuracy of your PI
We take reasonable steps to ensure that the PI held by us is accurate, complete and up to date. If you believe that any of your PI is inaccurate, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to correct it.
Contact details and access to information we hold about you
If you request access to the PI we hold about you, we will respond to your request within a reasonable period of time and, where reasonable and practicable, give access to the information in the manner you request. This will be subject to exemption permitted under the Privacy Act. You may request this information by writing to our Privacy Officer:
